Castro was in the headlines as recently as two weeks ago when, during another award ceremony she refused to discuss the 43 missing students of Ayotzinapa, Guerrero- a topic that has enthralled the country for nearly two months. The video shows Mexicans who live in the U.S. verbally attacking the young actress as she walks through the hotel surrounded by body guards.

In an exclusive video aired on Telemundo, Castro can be seen walking as shouts of

"Stop stealing Mexico's Money!" , "Thief, say something about Ayotzinapa", "They kill students in Mexico, we are tired" can be heard in the background.

Another woman asks her what she thinks of her mother, presumably in relation to a recent scandal involving an 8 million dollar mansion that is reportedly owned by her mother and is cared for by the presidential guard.

Another women yelled: "Go back to Mexico and live there", to which Sofia yelled "I do live there, why do you care?" and "I am here on vacations, why do you care?"
