Rosarito's Gastronomic and Artisan Zone

One of the most promising zones to develop in the town

BAJA CALIFORNIA.-Rosarito is one of the must-see places for all tourists heading south of the border. Its beautiful beaches are almost always less crowded than their U.S. counterparts, and with many other activities to choose from there is always plenty to do.

If you are tired of the natural scenery, there is also plenty of shopping to be had, with colorful markets and crafts from the artisans zone known as Bulevar Artesanal de Popotla, which has become one of the town's most important arts and crafts area.

It received its name in 2010, and was officially inaugurated as such in order to give identity to the area where hundreds of craftsmen sell their goods, just 15 minutes south of Rosarito on the Ensenada-Tijuana free road, in a section known as Popotla Boulevard.

A recent project has been announced to build on to the years long recognition the region has established, in order to also build upon other arts such as cuisine and also brand this area as a cultural gastronomic district.
