Man holding "bloody" Mexican flag interrupts Nobel Peace Prize ceremony

The young man later requested political asylum in Norway

UPDATE. - Efe news agency is reporting that the protester was also requesting political asylum in Norway.

Furthermore, the Scandinavian police in Oslo informed that the protester did not have press-certification and that he just simply slipped through security to join a group of a people.

His name has also been discovered by media, using social networks, as being Adán Cortés Salas, a 21-year-old student from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, majoring in International Relations.

WORLD.-After the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded, a young man, passing off as a journalist, took advantage of the media's attention to place himself in front of prizewinners, Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai, holding the Mexican flag supposedly stained with "blood".

A red streak that ran down the national coat of arms, as a representation of the blood spilled in Mexico, was almost immediately linked to the Iguala case, where 43 students from the teacher-training college Raul Isidro Burgos of Ayotzinapa were kidnapped and murdered due to the organized crime in collaboration with the municipal police of Iguala, Guerrero. However, the motive of this protest has yet to be confirmed.

According to reports from the event, the Nobel Peace Prize winners had just received a medal and diploma on behalf the Norwegian Nobel Committee President, Thorbojrn Jagland, when the young man ran in front of the Norwegian King to wield the Mexican flag.

You can hear the young Mexican pleading "Please, Malala…Mexico" to Malala Yousafzai, a 17 year old Pakistani who won 2014's Nobel Peace Prize for her fight against child oppression and the right for education worldwide.

A security guard had to drag the protester in order to kick him out of Oslo's City Hall, where the Nobel Prize awards took place. Currently, the young man is under the custody of the Norwegian authorities, waiting for a legal resolution (although it looks like he will be handed over to Mexican authorities and deported).
