Robin Williams was 2014's Most Searched on Google

Google reveals its list of this year's top inquiries

WORLD.- One of the most talked about events this year, according to Google, was Robin Williams' death, after committing suicide last August.

The departure of a comedy icon shocked the world after discovering his depression problems, and artists as well the public, mourned his passing for weeks. During this time, we were able to see several homages made to him, in form of quotes and his films and images played on all types of media, portraying his life as a family man.

It is not surprising that this event was the leader of Google's most searched. Being a tool that, year after year, shows which subjects caused most interest among its audience, Google posted the top ten trends 2014 around the world, them being:

    1.-Robin Williams 2.-FIFA'S World Cup 3.-Ebola 4.-Malaysia Airlines 5.-ALS Bucket Challenge 6.-Flappy Bird 7.-Conchita Wurst 8.-ISIS 9.-Frozen 10.-Sochi Olympics

In 2013, the deaths of two public figures also made it to the top of the trends towards the end of last year: Nelson Mandela's and Paul Walker's, as they came in first and second place, followed by the iPhone 5S and Cory Monteith's. But while comparing lists, have you notice something? This is the first year since 2010, that Apple hasn't sneaked into the list with one of its products.

Which of these events do you think deserved most attention?
