Mexico paid almost $6 million to Sony for latest Bond film

Part of the movie will be filmed in the Mexican capital

MEXICO.- It's no secret that the new James Bond movie, titled Spectre, will have different locations worldwide, turning it in one of the most expensive among the franchise's 24 films.

To be specific, the total cost of its production will be $300,000,000 dollars, meaning that Sony spent $50,000,000 more than it did with Skyfall, and of which $6,000,000 will be provided courtesy of the Mexican government, according to Variety magazine.

Thanks to its huge budget, the 007 film will have several film locations in cities such as London, Rome and Mexico City, after it payed millions of dollars to be included.

According to British newspaper Telegraph, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto's administration payed $6,000,000 dollars from public budget to motivate Sony, an amount that only accounts for a 2% investment in the film.
