UNITED KINGDOM.- The famous couple Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter, who never got married, has confirmed their break up after a thirteen year relationship and two kids.

The news was came from People magazine, through Helena's agent saying that the couple still maintains their friendship and that they've ask the media to keep discretion and respect their privacy, as well as the privacy of their children, Billy Raymond Burton and Nell Burton.

"They amicably separated at the beginning of the year, but they remained friends and parents.At the time being, they have requested respect for their privacy and their children", said the agent to the magazine.

Burton and Bonham Carter met on the set of "Planet of the Apes" in 2001 and became inseparable ever since. Their relationship led to work in films such as "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", "Sweeney Todd" and "Alice in Wonderland".

Without a doubt, the filmmaker and actress, were considered one of the most solid couples in Hollywood, and which due to them being so eccentric, their appearances on the red carpet were highly anticipated. Unfortunately, the gothic love story has come to an end.
