Looking for something to do on the weekend? Here are some things that will be happening in Tijuana.
Since it's January, there is still very little to do, people are a bit spent as well as event organizers, which is why things are still only getting back on track. But don't you worry, over the next few months good things are coming.
Friday January 9th

Piel DVN
Showing at Mamut Brewery Co. at 9 pm, admission is free.

Orden Mundial (Punk music from Majorca, Spain) On their only gig in Mexico!
This will take place at TJ Art & Rock Cafe at 9 pm, also playing that night: Generacion Suicida, Los Inclahn, La Venganza de San Carlos and Tijuana Suicida.
Admission is free, go and support the touring bands.

Navajazo
The film directed by Tijuana native, Ricardo Silva, will be showing this weekend in Sala Carlos Monsiváis of CECUT's Cineteca at 8.30 pm. Screenings will be on January 9th, 10th, 11th and 13th. Admission costs: $42 pesos ($2.85dlls). General admission for teachers and students: $26 pesos ($1.77 dlls).

#LosCiclistasSomosAyotzinapa
A cycling caravan meant to remember the victims of last year's missing students in Ayotzinapa. Starts their journey at Plaza Pabellon Rosarito at 10 am with a finish line all the way up to Puerto Nuevo. Dress code is all black and it is requested to bring a sign or something that identifies the cause of their riding.

Rosarito/Puerto Nuevo Cyclist Marathon
As they do every month, the journey starts at 10 am from Plaza Pabellon in Rosarito. Everyone is welcome, the cyclist take a tour through the highway until arriving at Puerto Nuevo. Cooperation is voluntary.

Hardcore Gig
Farooq (US), Bonebreaker, Capture, Versus Me, Abusery and Never Again will be playing at Tj Art & Rock at 8 pm.
Admission costs: $50 pesos ($3.40dlls) and its for 18 and older only

Laser Pink Floyd: The Wall
Showing at CECUT IMAX Dome. Screening at 7, 8, and 9 pm. Admission costs: $52 pesos ($3.53dlls) and general admission for children is $31 pesos ($2.11 dlls)

Tales of El Quixote
This show illustrates some chapters of Don Quixote de la Mancha's novel, taking place in several areas of CECUT at 2 pm. Admission is free.

Catch a movie at CECUT IMAX Dome

-Gran Tiburón Blanco at 1.00, 5.00 and 9.00 pm
-Titanes de la Era de Hielo. Camina con gigantes at 11.00 and 4.00 pm
-Santa vs El Hombre de Nieve at 3.00 and 7.00 pm
Admission costs: $48 pesos ($3.26 dlls) and general admission for children is $27 ($1.84)
NOTE: Every exhibition in CECUT and El Cubo are admission free on Sundays.
