Learn To Be A Barista At "Almacén Café -Té" in Tijuana

A new place in La Cacho to learn the art of making coffee

A few days ago, while walking on Jalisco Street in the trendy La Cacho neighborhood of Tijuana, I saw some hip guy selling organic Mexican coffee on the corner of what used to be an old brick-facade warehouse. Being the coffee lover that I am and the type of person who needs it in order to function properly, I stopped by for a cup (only $15 pesos or $1.03 dlls) and I'm so glad that I did because I discovered that, aside from having an excellent coffee variety and blends with Italian beans, they also give basic barista training courses, along with workshops related to the world of coffee.

Inquiring a bit more about the subject, I was taken to the back of the store where the workshops take place and they explained to me that the barista training is level 1,

[p]just basic preparation needed to acquire the confidence and security to prepare coffee with different methods, for those who want to open up their own café or just want to have the knowledge. The workshop lasts only three days and it is always in groups of small people. Visit their Facebook page for more details or send them an email at alamcencafeyte@gmail.com

And for all of those coffee world entrepreneurs, "Almacén Café - Té" has the necessary equipment so you can open your own business, which is something that may be difficult if you don't know where to look for. So stop by and visit them at Calle Colombia #2493 on there corner of Jalisco Av., colonia Cacho (actually called "Madero";), Tijuana. Click here for directions.
