Seahawks Coach Explains Last Play

Pete Carroll took responsability, but didin't take the blame. Malcom Butler describes his interception

ESTADOS UNIDOS.- The most awaited statement for the Seattle Seahawks last offensive play during yesterday's Super Bowl, where a pass was intercepted at the first yard line, costing them the championship, is finally here. During an interview with NBC, Coach Pete Carroll, from the Seattle Seahawks took resposability for the play. which he confirmed, he ordered, but blamed reciever Ricardo Lockette for its failure.

The last seconds of the fourth quarter were running, while the scoreboard was 28-24, in favor of the New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks managed to reach the first yard line almost smelling victory, when the ball was trhown to Marshawn Lynch, surprising everyone but Malcom Butler who intercepted the pass.

To this epic fail, there are four direct responsibles, Seattle's Offensive Coordinator Darrelle Bevel, Coach Pete Carroll, Quarterback Russel Wilson and Reciever Ricardo Lockette. Carroll confirmed that the decision rests on his shoulders, when he chosed to surprise the Patriots defense, who were ready to block Lynch.

On the other hand, rookie Malcom Butler, who managed to intercept the pass said that Wilson gave some clues of what was going to happen by looking directly at his recievers
