Rosarito in CECUT Multidisciplinary Festival Begins Friday

Festival of arts, performance and music runs from Feb 13-28

CECUT is pleased to announce the First Multidisciplinary Rosarito Festival opening at CECUT this Friday. The festival offers a panorama of the arts and cultural production of the region. Photography, painting, music and performance, history and dance will be featured.


On Friday at 7:00, two art exhibitions will open: in the entrance of the IMAX Dome.a collective of photographers will present photographs of landscape and everyday life of the region. In the foyer of the CECUT performance hall, a selected group of Rosarito artists will be showing their work, illustrating diverse techniques and themes.

At 7:30 in the IMAX Dome, the guitar ensemble Guitarras Allegro will perform.

Performance artist Theresa Magario will perform her work LAVE in the Estación Viscaíno on Sunday at 3:00 PM, and again on Friday, Feb 20 and Sunday, Feb 22.

On Tuesday, February 17 at 6:00 PM the Rosarito city media group will present a variety of topics covering the history of Rosarito. Conrado Acevedo Cárdenas, Rosarito historian, will follow with a lecture about the metropolitan history of Rosarito.

Various musical performances will be featured throughout the festival, with a full day of performances on Sunday, February 22 beginning with Songs for Children at 1:00 PM, followed by Folkloric dance, ballet and tango performances throughout the afternoon.

The Festival runs from February 13 (this Friday) through Saturday, February 28. See the full program for event times and locations in CECUT.
