Tecate and Rosarito Sign Tourism Collaboration Agreement

This will strengthen touristic links between both cities

TECATE.-During a meeting that took place at Jardín Cerveza, Tecate's Mayor César Moreno alongside Rosarito Beach's President, Silvano Abarca Macklis signed a collaboration agreement to push towards tourism in both cities.

This is an initiative that relies on both cities willingness and which job will move forward through Tecate and Rosarito's Direction of Economical and Touristic Development (DET) respectively, as well as through the Tourist and Convention Committee (COTUCO).

While signing, Tecate's Mayor expressed that with touristic exchange it is intended to strengthen links between both cities, coordinating activities which will highlight the attractiveness of both areas, having better outcomes regarding tourism.

Mayor Moreno pointed out that Rosarito is classified as a touristic destination for its excellence and now with the binding of the one of a kind Magical Town located at the border, Tecate will be able to achieve excellence too, having as outcome a great economic distribution for both sectors.

On his behalf, Rosarito's Mayor added that good disposition the cities will complement each other in order to improve the economic conditions of society, as well as the progress of local commerce, seeking innovative activities that will allow the cities touristic promotion.

After signing the agreement, the Mayors alongside their work teams, took a tour through the facilities of the Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma brewery facilities, observing the process of making one of Tecate's products, which is known internationally.
