During a press conference, Imcad's Director, Marlon Tapia Valdez, pointed out that the event's main purpose is to push the citizens towards exercise as a way of preventing any type of addiction, given that physical activity works as a factor that fights against the decision of consuming substances such as alcohol, tobacco or drugs.
"Unfortunately, this subject has a multifactorial character; matters such as violence, an emotional state, dropping out of school among other are involved, all of these have to do with the person's choice to take a path towards addiction. This is why we have identified protection points for this illness, one of great importance and efficiency is sports," said the official.
