City of Tijuana Provides $28 Million To Support Young Entrepreneurs

Through the National Entrepreneur Institute and Imjuv

TIJUANA.- The City of Tijuana and the National Entrepreneur Institute (Inadem) gave out today a total of $425,000 ($28,000dlls) pesos in financial support to entrepreneurship projects in the city, which were developed with the supervision of the City's Institute for Youth (Imjuv).

During the event, Tijuana's Mayor Dr. Jorge Astiazarán Orcí mentioned that the best investment a government can make is that of supporting entrepreneurs, in order for them to develop programs and strategies that will later provide bigger resources, which help them widen and solidify their projects.

"I am convinced of the path that this city has taken, I want to restate our support. Now, you have a double commitment, given that you have received an incentive on behalf of the government, it's your turn to lend a hand to other entrepreneurs who want to have access to these resources", said the mayor.

On his behalf, Imjuv's Director, Jorge Mario Madrigal Silva, pointed out that through the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in Tijuana (CIET), a follow up and counseling of the projects took place.

Foto Mona's creator, Daniel Monares, mentioned that as entrepreneurs they are very willing to work, he also thanked the government's commitment towards the city to created the funding that are now employment sources.
