3 Mexicans Confirmed Dead In Alps Plane Crash

The return of the bodies will be a slow one

UPDATE: Two United State citizens have been confirmed dead as well

MEXICO.- Yesterday, national media reported the presence of at least one Mexican among the victims of the plane crash that took place on French land, shocking the entire world.

Today, French Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed that three of the passengers who lost their lives were in fact of Mexican nationality alongside with two Colombians, one Turkish, one Belgium, 49 Spaniards and 67 Germans.

The Airbus A320 from Germanwings airlines took off from Barcelona, Spain, flying towards Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, carrying 150 passengers. The crash left no survivors after crashing in The Alps.

The three Mexicans, identified unofficially by El Universal as passengers are Daniela Ayón, a young yoga instructor who was planning on visiting her family on Playa del Carmen; Dora Isela Salas Vázquez, a women born in Monterrey who worked in Spain as a licensed Chem-Pharmacobiologist and Carles Milla Masanas, Mimasa's food director and although his parents are Mexican, journals such as El País reported he was born in Spain.

El Universal explains that the Mexican Foreign Ministry hasn't given out any names in an official manner, even though the families of the victims were already located and contacted in spite of not having the yet the bodies that provide DNA samples that will allow forensic test to be run and return the bodies.
