Baja's Government Continues Negotiations With Striking Farm Workers

Makes a call to all parties to build an agreement that will benefit everyone and favor the region's development.

SAN QUINTIN.- The interinstitutional talks that include the Baja government, as a mediator, continued yesterday in Baja California's southern farm region, getting the "Municipal, State and National Alliance" alongside the participation of the Agricultural Producers and Authorities of the San Quintín Valley remains open and has achieved progress regarding flexible agreements on both parts.

The Secretary of General Government, Francisco Rueda Gómez, revealed that this is the board's fourth meeting, and since then they have made progress regarding several agreements, nonetheless today, negotiations have been focused in the improvement of the work conditions for agricultural workers.

In the same matter, he restated the Government's commitment of working with this board and its calling to build the necessary agreements that will be satisfactory for everyone, having as firm purpose to avoid any more damage to the workers families, the productive sector and the population in general.
