After defeating Diablos Rojos, they're off to a great start

TIJUANA.- The Toros de Tijuana baseball team, illuminated the city and broke its silence with an electronic party fueled with magic, lights and color, making over 17,000 people roar at the Gasmart stadium, who witnessed the inauguration ceremony of the 2015 Mexican Baseball League (LBM) season.

At 7.00 p.m., the final countdown ended, in order to kickstart the opening protocol and ceremony that began with a flag salute and presentation of the players and technical staff of Mexico City's Diablos Rojos as well as Toros de Tijuana, the latter made a triumphal entrance along a red carpet through the center field.

Toro's manager, Eddie Díaz stepped on the field's diamond alongside the team's godmother, Patricia Scarlet Uribe Díaz, a young baseball aficionado from Tijuana, who has studied in the United States, London and Paris.

After the protocol ceremony, the stadium lights were turned off, leaving darkness as the perfect setting for a light show and the performance of Colectivo Nortec, a Tijuana native electronic duo that made the audience vibrate with a mixture of electronic and Northern rhythms.

The night's repertoire featured Punta Banda, The Clap, Radio Boderline, classic Tijuana Sound Machine and 664 in the Groove, making the audience dance and enjoy an evening they surely won't forget.

The honor of the first pitch went to Tijuana's rockstar, Javier Batiz, who gave a few steps into the pentagon to ensure his throw reached the catcher, among the fan's applause.
