Uber Will Reduce City Pollution

For every Uber that roams the street, 'ten cars will be removed'

According to Uber's CEO, Travis Kalanick, allowing the company to continue providing their service in the country, will not only help generate jobs but it will also reduce city pollution, given that for every Uber that is being used, 10 cars will be remove from the streets.

"We have this incredible opportunity of being part of major leagues, here, we can serve and create 20,000 jobs in the next few years, reducing city pollution and removing 10 cars for each Uber."

As way to celebrate the company's 5th anniversary, Travis reflected on how much the company has grown, given that it's currently settled in over 300 cities in 58 countries worldwide.

He also mentioned that: "We shouldn't deny this service to people due to a faded regulation, which was originally designed to protect drivers and passengers but is now used only to preserve a monopoly that of a very elect few benefit from."

Through a newsletter, he mentioned that the world currently has over a billion cars on the streets, with 96% of them remaining unused. Thus is why Uber has transformed into a mobility option, given that people spend less time jammed in traffic, saving up time given that they need a parking space while at the same time is very affordable.

Uber in Mexico City is accountable for 300,000 users, 100,000 in Guadalajara, 40,000 in Monterrey and 15,000 in Tijuana.
