4th Wine Gala Will Take Place At Culinary Art School

Over 30 modules from wine producers, conferences and guided tasting will be presented

With the purpose of strengthening the culinary and wine scene in Baja, as well as making it one of the main anchor for touristic promotion, this upcoming Friday, July 3rd starting at 7:00, the 4th 'Wine Gala' will take place.

During a press conference, Ives Gabriel Lelevier Ramos, Undersecretary of State Tourism, reinstated the importance of Baja's cuisine as well as the production of craft beer and wine.

"The scenery has changed, in the past cooking represented a complement for travelers, the same way campaigns for tourist promotion were viewed, nowadays, with the outstanding pairing of wines in the country, we have an even greater reason to promote it," he commented.

" It's a great satisfaction to know we have the country's Wine Route, while it's true that other states make efforts to succeed in this matter, Baja keeps producing at least 95% of all Mexican wines, which is 2015's projection."

On his behalf, Culinary Art School Director, Javier Gonzalez, pointed out that this event is the preamble for the harvest festivals that will take place in August, giving support to the wine culture, what it represents, and its makers in order to launch on e of the main industries in the region.

This event will be to benefit the Mexican Culinary Conservatory in Baja, it's expected that nearly 275 people will attend due to the space and time of the schools premises.
