"Titanic" Composer Dies In Plane Crash

The musician won two Academy Awards during his career

ESTADOS UNIDOS.- According to his personal assistant, Sylvia Patrycja, James Horner, the composer behind several of the most memorable soundtracks in the history of film passed away yesterday, after his plane crashed while flying over Santa Barbara, California.

"We have lost a brilliant person, with a great heart and incredible talent. He passed away doing what he loved," Patrycja wrote just hours before they body was identified, hours later is was confirmed that it belong to James Horner.

Aside from Patrycja, Horner's lawyer mentioned that his client 'loved flying' and because of this, he had a small plane collection that he used to fly solo when he wasn't working on his musical pieces.

The composer, famous for creating the soundtrack to Titanic, also made the music for films such as 'Braveheart', 'A Beautiful Mind', 'Glory', and 'Avatar'. Throughout his career he one two Academy Awards, one being for Titanic in 1997.
