UNITED KINGDOM.- A woman who got stood up before reaching the altar is selling her wedding dress on eBay. This isn't weird at all, people sell everything on eBay these days. But, what was unorthodox is the story attached to it.
The owner, whose identity remains anonymous, wrote a heartbreaking story in order to describe the dress. She narrates the story from the point of view of the Diane Von Furstenberg size 8 beige colored dress, which she never got to wear.
"Rejected wedding dress seeks lasting love and holy matrimony," can be read on the eBay description. It has been reported that the owner is apparently of 30 years of age and British:
"I was supposed to be worn at City Hall in New York. I was going to be the main attraction of a 60s wedding theme. I was going to be low-key, but elegant (I still am, for that matter)," narrates 'Zarita' the alleged name of the dress.
"When my owner tried me on in Selfridges, she knew I was the one, so she ordered me online and have me delivered to her future husband in Brooklyn When I arrived, she kept me in the box, to prevent me from getting ruined. Then, they broke up. I was left in the box, because my owner couldn't bear the sight of me."
"I'm a constant reminder of what could have been, which is why she is selling me. It doesn't have to be a bride, just someone who want to give me the home I deserve. A home where Ill get worn and admired and dry-cleaned (as and when necessary)."
This way of selling
worked out beautifully and the dress has now 42 offers, finally selling for the price of 150 pounds.
