Mexican Airline Has Emergency Landing In Ireland

WORLD.- A flight that took off from Distrito Federal towards Paris, was forced to cut its trip short before actually landing on their destination.

The plane from Mexican company Aeromexico landed in Shannon, Ireland in order to prevent an accident after their cargo hold caught on fire.

This morning, Airlive.net official Twitter page announced that the Dreamliner plane left Mexico City's International Airport at 00:22 hrs on Monday and was scheduled to land on Parisian soil at 17:00 hrs.

According to new reports, the plane is currently under inspection, luckily, no passenger was injured.

Among the 193 people traveling to Paris, former Mexican priest, Alberto Athié was on board, he left Mexico's Archdioceses in 2000 in order to pursue research and

report pedophile cases inside the church.

Also on board was Mexican soccer player, Alan Pulido, who posted a video of the incident on Instagram writing: "Thank you God for always being there with me…There was a malfunction with the plane while traveling to Paris and it had to land in Ireland, but everything is ok, we're safe…With out a doubt an unforgettable experience I do not wish upon anyone. #Godisgood.

For the time being, the reason behind the fire remains unknown given that Aeromexico has yet to make a statement and its spokesperson hasn't given any details.
