DoorDash: The New App For Food Delivery In San Diego

It's now available in the region

SAN DIEGO.- Thanks to a cellphone and computer app named DoorDash, ordering food deliveries in San Diego will be as easy as clicking a button. This app started to operate in the region on Wednesday, after being created in Stanford, two years ago.

With it, all residents of the area will be able to order meals from an extensive catalogue of restaurants without having to look it up in the yellow pages or actually dialing a number.

DoorDash adds up to the many other apps which fulfill the same function such as GrubHub. Seamless, and Postmates. Of course, this app has a trick under its sleeve, given that it predicts an estimated time of delivery, which is usually of 45 minutes or less.

At the moment, DoorDash has over 100 restaurants in their database, including Prepkitchen, Puesto and Salt & Clever, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.

Plus, the app does not require a minimum consumption and it occasionally offers lower delivery rates than its competitors, given that DoorDash works a flat rate of $5.99, regardless of distance.
