No AC? No Problem! Say Goodbye To The Heat While You Sleep!

Given the weather situations, here are some few tips

WORLD.- Social media has been flooded with jokes due to weather changes in Tijuana and parts of San Diego. It's hot 24/7. Even if its raining, many of us suffer the consequences of high temperatures. Especially at night!

Sheets stick to our bodies because we're all sweaty and is hard for us to fall asleep given that we aren't comfortable. So, what can we do if we don't have an air conditioner or a fan to freshen up our house? An article published in El País offers some helpful tips to overcome hot and sleepless nights, which are as follows:

1.- Use Cotton Sheets:

And if you can, keep them in the freezer for a little while before you got to bed. Put them in a plastic bag to avoid humidity, this way you will feel a bit more fresh. However, if this isn't your thing, you can always freeze a hot pad and use it to 'refrigerate' your bed.

2.- Prevent Hot Air From Reaching Your Room:

For this, you can put a wet sheet on your window or set an ice bucket in front of a fan.

3.- Wear Lighter Pj's:

Or better yet, sleep au naturalle! This has many benefits aside from cooling you down: It eases deep sleep, decreases blood pressure, it makes you thinner and improves your sex life,to name a few.

4. 'Leave' Your Partner:

Just for a fews, you will both sleep better given that you won't have each other's body heat.

5.- Sleep On The Floor:

Cold air is more dense than hot air, which is why it goes down and its displaced. Logically, the floor will cooler than any other area.

6. Shower Before Going To Bed:

Use luke warm water to cool off.

7.- Avoid Heavy Dinners:

Remember, calories produce heat. (Yes, we have to say it, even if its obvious). If you eat greasy meals, your body will have to produce more heat to digest better.

8.- Drink Water:

Your body uses it to get rid of heat.

9.- Turn Off Anything That May Produce Heat:

The rule is simple, is you waste energy you emulate heat. So, turn them off completely! Aside from reducing temperature, you electricity bill will also decrease.
