Faculty Staff In Baja Resigning After Image Humiliating Homeless Goes Viral

Some have yet to comment on the events

ENSENADA.- After an image went viral that showed some upper middle class partygoers in Ensenada posing with a homeless guy who wore a rope around his neck, two of the people seen in the image have resigned from their positions at both the state government and the local campus of a national private university.

The most well-known people in the image are Pedro Quezada, Dean of the Ensenada campus of the prestigious Xochicalco University, and Francisco Argüelles owner of a taco shop and dive bar named 'Los Carbones', the latter one has yet to comment or have any response regarding the situation, however during Wednesday night, a letter from Quezada resigning from his position was revealed.

Here, addressing the letter to Xochicalco's Viceprincipal, the now former Dean of Xochicalco's University and Law Professor, mentions how the situation as well as the image got out of hand and that even though he wasn't solely to blame, he was just simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, supposedly.

Before Quezada stepped in with his resignation, Veronica Casillas, a public defender, can also be seen in the image resigned from her position, after the image caused outrage, even in national sites. She's the one in the red dress, and is reportedly also an employee at the university.

The other people portrayed in the image have yet to make a statement regarding this incident.
