Feast On A Flavor Adventure At "Baja By The Sea"

The event's third edition will arrive on August 1st

BAJA CALIFORNIA.- Baja By The Sea, a tourist and culinary event will take on its 3rd edition this upcoming August 1st at Embarcadero Marina Park in San Diego. From 12 pm to 6 pm San Diegans and tourists will be able to chose from over 30 thousands dishes of Baja's cuisine, free of cost.

Here, diners will be able to enjoy 4 culinary samples and 4 craft beers or wines of their choosing. The only thing you need to do is attend the event and register in order to receive an interchangeable voucher to get your food and drinks.

It's expected that 8 to 10 thousand people will attend the event, which will bring Baja's flavor to new audiences given that over 6 million San Diegans have yet to visit Tijuana and its neighboring cities, mentioned Francisco Villegas Peralta, treasurer from Tijuana's Tourism and Conventions Committee during a press conference.

During the conference it was revealed that 300 companies dedicated to the tourism sector will attend the event, among hotels, restaurants, vineyards, brewing houses, services and products from the border region.

Furthermore, he detailed that there will be a musical space were attendees will be able to listen to Bostich (from Colectivo Nortec), La Ballena de Jonas and a special circus performance from Neuromanía Tijuana, where gymnasts, jugglers and former Cirque Du Soleil will participate.

The organizing committee mentioned that this edition intends not only to give the event a continuum but also attract San Diego's tourism and possible investor to the region, given that 2015 has been the best year of tourist attendance in Baja since 2007, according to Shadia Wehbe Dipp, Director of Public Relations and Communication of SECTURE.

"Al destinations (in Baja) are uprising", said Wehbe, pointing out that this is a quality that favors the state's economical growth.

Seeking to create a circle of confidence between San Diego and Baja California, COTUCO's president, Miguel Ángel Badiola, assured that this year we will see "an important and active participation" of behalf of the Police Department, given that Public Security will have its own module at Baja by the Sea.

Police corps will distribute pamphlets regarding tourist information that will let them know what they can and cannot do, eradicating the very unrealistic although popular belief, that many have when it comes to violence in Mexico, letting tourist know where they can go in case of an emergency.

Reminder: The event will take place at Embarcadero Marina Park North on August 1st, admission is free as well as food samples. Available for all ages.
