US Removes Cuba From Human Trafficking List

Although Venezuela is still

UNITED STATES.- Just two months after taking Cuba off a list that features countries that sponsor terrorism, the United States decided to removed the island from a second list which focuses on alerting about human trafficking among countries.

Cuba had spent more than a decade on the list as punishment for not fighting the problem, although little by little, the United States seem to be more active when it comes to making amends and acknowledges the efforts of the Cuban government. Specially now that both countries have reestablished diplomatic relations and reopened their embassies.

With the Communist island out of the list, Venezuela would be the only country in Latin America to remain indifferent to the sexual trafficking situation, according to reports of the State Department.
