Traveling the world is probably on almost everyone's bucket list, but like many, one can only dream.

While it's true that traveling means getting plane, train or bus tickets, accommodations and money, there are different destinations around the world that range from nature's wonders to man's creations. That being said, don't stick to the idea of not having enough money and simply start saving up a little.

So in case you started to make that piggy bank fat for a future trip, we want to share with you some destinations that you might think are impossible to visit but are actually way cheaper than a week stay at a local beach resort.

Thailand

Just saying it out loud makes it seem like its far away. Yes, we know plane tickets aren't the cheapest but you can book them ahead of time and save up or look them up on discount sites. Once you get there, you'll be amazed of how cheap your visit can be. Imagine spending only $5dlls in accommodations and $2dlls for food, sound good right? Or how about a $20dlls massages with a beautiful Thai and aphrodisiac beach view?

Vietnam

Many tourist claimed to have spent an unforgettable day for just $24 dlls. This includes hotel, transportation, beer and a guided tour. We are not saying that you'll go out and find a sign that says 'Cheap Food', but Vietnam is known to run on food stands. Furthermore, with such beautiful venues, the only thing you need is have a good meal and a little bit of time to learn as much as you can.

Greece

It's no secret that Greece's economy is going downhill, but this shouldn't be a reason to stop you. Aside from learning the history revolving around Athens, its beaches will invite you to spend an evening with the best that nature has to offer. Food is relatively cheap, just keep an eye out for spices.

Portugal

When one thinks about traveling to Europe it can be a bit scary, but many studies reveal that Lisbon is one of the cheapest cities to book a five star hotel. Enjoy beautiful sunsets along a galls of wine, available at almost any store.
