Volkswagen Has A New CEO

A company representative mentioned that those involved in the fraud scandal were "a small group of employees"

GERMANY.- Two days after Martin Winterkorn resigned from his position as Volkswagen's President, the company has already found a replacement, Matthias Muller, Porsche's former adviser.

Through a newsletter, Muller stated that he will restore the company's reliability: "Under my leadership, Volkswagen will do everything that is possible to develop and install the strictest of control measures and good practices for the industry…Volkswagen can emerge even stronger from this crisis thanks to its brands and enthusiasm as well as preparation from its employees."

For now, Winterkorn's resignation will be investigation in order to know if he received a millionaire compensation, which up to 2014 was approximately of 28,6 millions. Meanwhile, employees representative and member of Volkswagen Supervisory Council, Bernd Osterloh, mentioned that those involved in the company's major crisis were "a small group of employees."
