SWITZERLAND.- Due to their fraud scandal, Volkswagen Switzerland had decided to temporally banned the sale of these vehicles throughout the whole country.

This measure, announced by the Swiss Federal Roads Authority could affect the 180,000 vehicles that were ready to be sold, belonging to the Euro5 category.

The organism announced that this restriction will affect cars that have a 1.2, 1.6 and 2.0 lt. diesel motors, meaning that it can also affect vehicles such as Audi, Seat and Skoda, given that they are brands related to Volkswagen.

After chaos regarding the news broke free, Volkswagen's now former president, Martin Winterkorn, resigned his position assuring that "Volkswagen needs a fresh start, and personally so do I. With my resignation, I'm clearing the way for a need path."

Matthias Muller replaced Winterkorn as the company's new president this past Friday, assuring that they will work non stop until the situation is clarified, of which there is still no new information.
