"El Chapo" Private Airplanes Seized

Mexican authorities took hold of eleven light aircrafts and other property.

The Mexican military, helped by U.S. intelligence have done multiple search operations on different properties that belong to Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, where they found and confiscated aircrafts, vehicles, weapons and drugs.

The State of Mexico, Puebla and Sinaloa authorities have all taken control of six houses, eleven aircrafts, more than 450 drug packages, an airstrip, vehicles and weapons used by the Sinaloa cartel.

The U.S. intelligence elements and Mexican forces actions are meant to assure that these actions cut off El Chapo's escape routes.

Meanwhile, U.S. agencies are providing intelligence data to Mexican special forces as support for the tracking of "El Chapo" Guzmán. Efforts are currently being focused in the Sinaloa mountains, where the Cartel leader is believed to be hiding.

According to CNN, the DEA's ex chief of operations, Michael Braun, says that the capo has 300 bodyguards under his command as well as high caliber weapons.
