Nuns Pose as Prostitutes to Rescue Human Trafficking Victims

The sisters hang around in the streets and brothels.

A group of nuns have been impersonating prostitutes as an undercover job to help free women, victims of human trafficking and sex slavery.

"These sisters don't trust anyone", assures John Studzinski, a banker, investor and founder of this religious group with the goal of helping women in need. "They don't trust the government, they don't trust companies and they don't trust local police. In some cases they can't even trust the male clergy", explained Studzinski.

The network of undercover nuns in brothels and in the streets call themselves Talitha Kum and it's comprised of 100 devotees, located in 8o countries from all around the world. The banker is hoping for the network to expand to 140 countries due to the success that these nuns have had in rescuing women who suffer from severe cases of sex slavery and misogyny.

According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), there are about 11.4 million women and girls who are victims of forced labor or slavery and 4.5 million are victims of forced prostitution. Very few women escape these mafia organizations.
