"El Chapo" Guzmán recaptured in Mexico

Five have been reported dead and six injured.

Mexico's president, Enrique Peña Nieto, announced this morning on his personal Twitter account that Mexican authorities have recaptured Sinaloa cartel's leader, Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán Loera, who escaped last year from a maximum security prison.

This is the third time Mexico's most wanted man has been captured, this time in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. The military operation happened early this Friday morning by Mexican marines, which resulted in five dead and six injured. Also, Orso Iván Gastélum Cruz "El Cholo Iván", an alleged Sinaloa cartel regional commander is thought to have escaped the compound during the clash, according to the Mexican navy.
