Farewells to David Bowie on Twitter from Politicians, Celebrities and even The Vatican

More than 3 million tweets were written in his honor.

Thousands of fans around the world have paid tribute to David Robert Jones, better known as David Bowie, after hearing about his death. The tweets written in his honor have been all over the Twittersphere, including posts from other artistic, political and even religious figures. According to Twitter monitoring platform Visibrain, in just the first four hours after getting wind of his passing, more than three million tweets were generated with the hashtags #RIPDavidBowie, #Bowie y #DavidBowie.
