If you're in the L.A. area or are planning of driving up north, then maybe you'll want to drive by La Brea Ave. in two weeks from now, when Trejo's Tacos officially opens to the general public.
The tacos are made with pure organic produce according to the LA Times and best of all is that if there's anything left over after the restaurant closes, then it gets donated to a local homeless shelter.
"Nothing is kept overnight," said Trejo.
Actually, if you're a vegetarian or vegan, you'll be surprised to know that the menu has various options for you, since Danny Trejo and his partners know about the great diversity of people who choose this way of life and all of them are welcome at Trejo's Tacos.
"Here, we wanted to include everybody, so we have a great vegan menu and gluten-free menu," the actor added.
Trejo's Tacos also has a rotating list of seasonal aguas frescas, homemade date-sweetened horchata and kombucha on tap. And for those looking for something a little stronger, there's Trejo's own beer on tap, brewed in downtown Arts District.
They'll have a new breakfast menu three months after officially opening and are planning on opening a second restaurant in Hollywood.
Here's a short interview with Danny Trejo AKA Machete by ABC 7.
