Baja California's Governor to Investigate "El Chapo" Tijuana Visit

"Neither the Ministry of Public Security or any other government agency ever told us much less confirmed that his visit ever happened, but we're on it", said the governor.

TIJUANA – After multiple media sources shared yesterday the news of "El Chapo" Guzmán's Tijuana plastic surgery visit, Baja California's governor, Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, stated he ordered an investigation on the matter.

"Neither the Ministry of Public Security or any other government agency ever told us much less confirmed that his visit ever happened, but we're on it", said the governor.

The governor seemed shocked after getting wind of the controversial news and assured the media he didn't have any knowledge of the Sinaloa cartel leader's Tijuana visit.

He stated that an investigation on the matter has been started to fact-check his supposed visit and afterwards check with Tijuana's beauty clinics.

Meanwhile, the head of the state's Congress, Irma Martínez Manríquez, detailed that the state's three government branches are required to confirm if "El Chapo" ever came to Tijuana.
