Turns Out that Instant Bread Rey Eats in Star Wars The Force Awakens Actually Exists

And it tastes awful.

Star Wars is mostly recognized for its awesome spaceship battles, lightsaber duels, its incredible characters and memorable dialogues, but in action movies such as The Force Awakens, there's other scenes that are regarded as special moments.

If you already saw the movie, then you know exactly which instant bread we're talking about on the headline, the one Rey prepares after getting paid by Unkar for her work. You get a nice feeling after seeing how some dust transforms into bread known as Polystarch.

This curious edible actually exists! That's right, no CGI involved on that scene, even though they did take months in perfecting it, until they finally nailed it. This is what Chris Corbould, the special effects technician, stated to MTV.

"You wouldn't believe how long it took to actually perfect that one, that little tiny gag in the film. It started off with the mechanics of getting the bread to rise and the liquid to disappear, but then there was the ongoing problem of what color should the bread be? What consistency should it be? Should it have cracks in it? Should it not have cracks in it?"

"It took about three months," he added. "The actual mechanics of it was fairly simple, but the actual cosmetic side took a lot longer."

Admit it, you would do anything to get a bite of that grey muffin cooked in the Jakku desert. But that's wouldn't be good idea since it tastes horrible. "No, you wouldn't want to eat it!" Corbould admitted.

We know you'd still eat it though.
