Western Regional Meeting Of The Mexico-United States Binational Group

From the 27th to the 28th of October, the Western Regional Meeting of the Mexico-United States Group about Bridges and International Crossings took place at the Coral & Marina Hotel in Ensenada

The event, a collective effort to discuss and rethink cross-border infrastructure topics, counted with the assistance and participation of various experts on the topics of transportation and logistics, such as the Pacific Imperial Railroad and INDRA, among others.

The event was presided by Mauricio Ibarra Ponce de Leon, General Director of Special Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, and Karin Sullivan, counselor for Economic Affairs of the Office of Affairs with Mexico from the US Department of State.

The first group of public presentations started by the Agua Prieta-Douglas I and II project, this presentation was given by Hector Rubalcava, from the city of Agua Prieta, Sonora, as well as Danny Ortega and Carlos de la Torre, from the city of Douglas, Arizona. Following this presentation, Matias Rosales, from the city of San Luis Potosi, presented the San Luis Colorado River-San Luis II project. Next the FFCC Tijuana-Tecate-Plaster City rehabilitation project presentation was given by Gaspar Metzler from ADMICARGA, Roberto Romandia from Baja California Railroad, as well as Arturo Alemany and Don Stoecklin, from Pacific Imperial Railroad (PIR).

As partner-director of Stoecklein Law Group, Don Stoecklein works closely with Pacific Imperial Railroad to manage affairs related to the border. During his participation in the Western Regional Meeting, Stoecklein spoke about the work that has been taking place with help from Baja California Railroad (BJRR), a Mexican railroad company in charge of more than 44 miles of railroad.
