NFL Teams to Play In Mexico This Year

It’ll be made official this Friday on a press conference

These week’s rumors have been confirmed: the NFL will host a regular season game at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City and will be officially announced on Friday before the Super Bowl.

During the traditional press conference before the biggest sport event in the nation, Commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to announce the game. The press conference will take place at 11:30 am local time.

The NFL is preparing to announce all the details of the game on Aztec turf, possibly hosting the Houston Texans and the Oakland Raiders.

The owner of the Texans, Bob McNair, has stated his desire of playing outside the States on multiple occasions. A few days ago the Pittsburgh Steelers also stated their aspiration to play a game on Mexican territory.
