As the warm temperatures go up, there's a lot of people expecting a new record break for the hottest day of the Winter season. According to the NWS, Los Angeles is expecting to reach 86 °F and other nearby areas to reach the 90 °F mark.

The red alert was issued on Sunday, which states that due to the Santa Ana wind conditions, there'll be gusty offshore winds of up to 58 mph in the mountains.

Authorities have pointed out that the red flag warning will remain in effect until 6 pm this evening for the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valley foothills as well as the Ventura County interior valleys, the Los Angeles coast from Malibu to the Hollywood Hills, the Los Padres National Park, San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita.

Up until today, there's only been a wildfire incident registered in Camarillo, which managed to damage 3 acres of land on Super Bowl Sunday. There were no casualties. Authorities are preparing for more wildfires to happen during the week.
