Discover Baja on Bike With the Tour of California Celebration

Happening on the 5th and 6th of March in Rosarito Beach and Ensenada respectively

This tour is for all the cyclists in the California and Baja region for them to discover all the Baja California tourist attractions, Baja's Secretary of Tourism (SECTURE) is inviting everyone to their "Tour of California Celebration in Baja" event which will take place on the 5th and 6th of March in Rosarito Beach and Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada respectively.

In a press conference, the head of Rosarito's Secretary of Tourism, Gustavo Torres Ramírez, stated that this event is being organized by the Adrenaline Cycling club and the California Tour San Diego Committee, who decided to do the event in Baja California in order to promote the California Tour.

Thanks to this, Baja California is now a preferred adventure tourist destination, which attracts very important Mexican cyclists like Raúl Alcalá, resulting in heightened interest among cyclists which in turn will bring a big a large economic flow to the region.

On the other hand, the head of the Binational Committee and the California Tour San Diego Committee, Omar Lozano, stated that a Circuit Race with children, teenagers, women, veterans and elite categories will happen on Saturday, March 5, as well as a special Fixie Criterium, both will take place at the Baja California Convention Center in Rosarito Beach at 7 am.

"These type of races are very fast and appealing to the spectators, we will also have guests, mostly from the Baja California cycling community as well as from California, Nevada, Arizona and from other Mexican states", said Lozano.

Also, the Fun Ride with Raúl Alcalá will take place on Sunday, March 6. It'll be a 40-mile-long ride along the Valle de Guadalupe Wine Route with the start and finish located at the Bodegas del Valle winery starting at 8:30 am. The ride will go through El Sauzal along the Tijuana – Ensenada highway as well as El Tigre, Ensenada – Tecate #3 highway and the Grapevine and Wine Museum.

Omar Lozano invited the cycling community to a press conference hosted by Raúl Alcalá, an important Mexican cyclist, the press conference will place at the Baja California Center this Friday, March 4 at 5:30 pm. He'll share his Tour de France experiences as well as other important international cycling events.
