Tijuana Indie Film Wins Best Feature Film at the Houston Latino Film Festival

A 100% Tijuana-made film

Amir, an indie movie that was filmed in Tijuana, won Best Feature Film at the Houston Latino Film Festival, which took place on March 25th to the 27th.

Directed by José Paredes and with performances by actors Jorge Guevara, Tania Niebla, Lirio Karina, Paul Jiménez, Fernando Fisher and Pedro Rodman.

It tells the story of a young retired musician who reaches a quandary of staying with his girlfriend during an unplanned pregnancy or choose a girl who he just met, a beautiful singer who has a local band and is the source of a renewed passion for the music and overall, love.

Amir will be screened at Tijuana Cultural Center's movie theatre this next April 22nd at 7 pm sharp.

Admission will be free so be sure to get there early!

After the screening comes the after party. There'll be a gig with the bands featured on the film's soundtrack: ★22 MISSILES★, Project Lizard - Hyper Lizard y Alfajor Capitan at La Nueva Bodega Aragon on Avenida Negrete in Downtown Tijuana.

Amir also won the "Best Border Film" Award at the San Diego Latino Film Festival 2016
