Rosarito to Host the 2016 Regional Meetings Tourism Convention

Organized at the Baja Convention Center

BAJA – This coming Thursday, April 21 the 2016 Regional Meetings Tourism Convention will take place at Rosarito's Baja Convention Center, an event that will have people from the hotel, public transit, tourism and event organizing industries as well as students and any other party interested in Baja's tourism industry.

"I think it's one of those activities that demands a bigger level of preparation from all the related tourism activities", said Baja's Deputy Secretary of Tourism (SECTURE), Ives Lelevier Ramos.

At the same time, the celebrations for the 3rd Anniversary International Meeting Day will also take place at the Baja Convention Center. A venue that held 173 events last year, totaling in more than 600,000 people in attendance and that brought in close to $350,000,000 pesos, this according to data from Jair López Montes who serves as the Baja Convention Center's General Director.

The event will start at 9 in the morning and end at 1 pm. It'll be a free admission event but you need to RSVP here.

This year's subjects will be showcased by the Monterrey Visitors and Conventions Office, the Veracruz World Trade Center and Mexico's Tourism Promotion Council. They will also present the results from the study titled "Economic Relevance from Mexico's Meetings".

Renowned Mexican Tourism key figures will be speaking at the Convention Center, ranging from Veracruz World Trade Center's General Director, Gustavo Renteral, who will talk about "Important Comprehensive Tourism Value Streams", while other speakers will touch on subjects like "Tourists and Conventions Offices".

"It's an important tool for us that contributes to, in this case, Baja's Government, in order to properly develop the tourism industry in a professional way", highlighted Lelevier.
