Friday, April 29

Captain America: Civil War Premiere

Even though the premiere was yesterday night, you'll be able to find tickets for today at any movie theatre and time you want. Even though the movie theatres will be filled to capacity this weekend, it's best to go check it out before Marvel fanboys do what they do best and try and impress other non-fanboys by filling the Internet with spoilers and whatnot.

Free Ink

With every beer pint you purchase at Bad Brew Bar, you'll have a chance to win a free small tattoo that same night made by artist Gil Bajo. The place serves food and will be selling their own Tres B craft beer as well as other local craft beer brands.

5th Taco & Salsa Festival

This is a 2-day festival and like every other Downtown Tijuana culinary event, it'll have live music and lots of food options, with multiple taco stand options and other typical Mexican food as well as Tijuana's best food trucks.

Half Way to Halloween

A Halloween celebration 6 months ahead of time. This party will include all 90s music and requires everyone to dress up as any 90s TV show character, band, cartoon or movie. The three best costumes can win up to $2,500 pesos (around $150 dollars).

Where? Fresco Bar, inside Plaza Fiesta. What time? Starting at 8 p.m. Price? Depends on how much you plan on partying. More info here.

Fiesta del Mar

Rosarito will be at Imperial Beach for just one day, with great Baja food and wine. The event will have an arts and crafts expo area, surfing expo and off road vehicles.

Children's Day at Galerias Hipodromo

This year's Children's Day theme at Galerias Hipodromo will be everything Star Wars. Among the activities planned for this day, there'll be a Lightsaber Master Class, raffles, kid's games, a costume contest and a show.

Sunday, May 1st

Turkish Breakfast Buffet

The only Turkish restaurant in Tijuana will be offering a breakfast buffet this Sunday. Their menu will include salads, simits, Turkish pastries and every other Turkish delicacy you can think of.

Where? El Turco, on Tijuana's La Cacho neighborhood. What time? Starting at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Price? $169 pesos (around $9 dollars) per adult and $65 pesos (around $4 dollars) per child. More info here.

Tijuana Farmer's Market

This is a monthly event where local fruit and vegetable producers, food trucks and craft beer producers gather. There will also be yoga classes for kids and adults. The activities are based on healthy eating and local agriculture production.

Where? Between Mercado Hidalgo and CECUT, inside Don Diego's parking lot in Tijuana's Zona Rio. What time? From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Price? Free admission. More info here.
