The national president of COPARMEX, Gustavo de Hoyos Walther, relied on the social sensitivity of the Republic's senators to endorse the proposal and for it to be one of the key pillars of the National Anticorruption System.
He recalled that this initiative is composed of a hundred articles, which was technically developed by the teams of the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO for its acronym in Spanish), The Mexican Institute of Transparency and the Espinosa Yglesias Study Center, with a broad social support, especially through the territorial deploydeployment of COPARMEX's Business Centers.
He explained that after an intense campaign in support of the initiative around 291,467 signatures were collected, exceeding the legal minimum requirement of 120,000 signatures, and thus confirming the support and interest of citizens to fight corruption.
"I express my appreciation to the Business Centers and Associations, as in their establishments, events and even on the street, they took to add wills and signatures to combat the scourge of corruption," said the national president of COPARMEX.
