Mexico Approves Funding for new Otay Port of Entry

The plots needed to begin construction are being acquired through these funds.

Mexico's Federal government has approved the funding necessary to fund the "Otay II" Port of Entry project, so confirmed the Secretary of Communications and Transportation (SCT) in Baja California, Alfonso Padrés Pesqueira.

Padrés said that he could not comment further on the precise amount of these funds, but he assured that the "Otay II" project is advancing steadily.

This future Port of Entry contemplates two access points, one for tourists and the other for cargo transportation, and would connect to the Alamar highway and Industrial Boulevard.

This allotment of resources allows for the plot acquisition where constructions will start during the last months of 2016 and the beginning of 2017.
