The weekend is closing in, and while some people have it all planned already, others (maybe yourself) are at a loss about what to do, so here are some ideas in case you want to spend a good time in either Tijuana or San Diego. Enjoy!

Friday June 24

1. Muse Tribute

Baja California band Panic Station comes straight out of Mexicali to play some of Muse's greatest hits. If you're a fan of this British band, you can't miss this tribute.

2. MGMT Laser Show at the Tijuana Cultural Center

Place: Tijuana Cultural Center's IMAX Dome Theater Date and Time: Every Friday and Saturday of June; Fridays – 9:00 p.m., Saturdays – 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Price: $52 pesos ($2.83 USD) general admission; discount price of $10.50 ($0.53 USD) for police officers, firefighters and members of the military and their families.

3. Elvis and Sinatra Tribute

Special drinks, casino games and much more await you on Friday at the Elvis and Sinatra tribute, a good choice if you are in the mood for a bright-light glamour ambient like in Vegas.

Saturday June 25

4. Fuerza Rock Fest

Showcasing over 12 bands, including División Minúscula, Enjambre, Los Tres and Caloncho, the Fuerza Rock music festival will take place for the second time in Tijuana. Did you enjoy the last show? You can't miss this one.

Place: Alamar show center. Time: 9:00 p.m. Price: $350 pesos ($19.11 USD) to $750 pesos ($40.94 USD).

5. Homemade Orchard Workshop

With the purpose of sparking an interest in alternative food sources for Mexican families, El Trompo Interactive Museum will teach an orchard-making class every Saturday of the month, where people will learn how to grow additive-free, 100% natural fruits and vegetables, creating an environmental and ecological conscious culture.

Place: Sala Educa's Lab at El Trompo Museum Time: 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Price: $68 pesos ($3.71 USD)

Sunday June 26

6. The San Diego County Fair

If you're looking for something to do outside of Tijuana and you happen to love Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, then this festival is tailor-made for you. Not only will you be able to enjoy the San Diego Country Fair this weekend, but for the rest of the week until June ends.

Place: Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar. Time: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Price: $9 to $16 USD; children up to 5 years old go in for free.
