250 Runners Expected at Rosarito’s Beach Desert Challenge

Visitors from all over the world are expected to participate as well

For the first time ever, Score International will host the Beach Desert Challenge at Rosarito Beach. The race will be held on September, and 250 people have registered to participate so far, and 40,000 visitors are expected to attend.

According to Score International’s director, José Abelardo Grijalva, the Baja region has become one of the top destinations for international tourism when it comes to off-road racing, particularly for countries such as Finland, the U.S., Germany, Canada, Japan and many more.

The Beach Desert Challenge will be held over three days, starting on Friday, September 16, but vehicle races won’t start until September 17, and September 18 will be dedicated entirely to motocross races.

Carlos Valenzuela, Baja’s director of Touristic Quality, Culture and Facilitations, stated that the race’s safety rules, which will include the famous Baja 250, 500 and 1000, will be ready before that Friday.
