SAN DIEGO.- China Shanghai Ranking revealed its annual list of the best universities in the world, in which the University of California San Diego (UCSD) appeared within the first 15 places.
The best 500 universities around the world are exposed in this list and the United States has the largest number of schools, with a total of 137. UCSD managed to stay in the 14th place, after having gained a position in 2013.
According to CBS8, the criteria taken into account when creating this list were:
Students who won Nobel Prize or Fields Medal
Faculty who won Nobel Prize or Fields Medal
Highly cited researchers in 21 broad subject categories
Documents added to the Citation Index-expanded and Social Science Citation Index
Individual Academic performance of an institution
