Méliès Drive-In Theater Opens in Tijuana Next Week

Here's all the information you need

Tijuana.- The wait is over, Méliès Autocinema is finally in Tijuana and we have an opening date.

Humberto Valenzuela, General Manager of this drive-in theater from Guadalajara,communicated through a press conference at the Committee of Tourism and Municipal Conventions that the first projection will be on Thursday September 1st, where you will be able to enjoy "Grease", the classic starred by John Travolta and Olivia Newton at 8:00 pm.

Where? At Parque de la Amistad in Mesa de Otay. People will have two options, to enter with a vehicle or on foot; the entrance for vehicle will cost around $16.00 dlls no matter how many people are inside, and if you go on foot the price will be of $4.00 dlls per person.

Schedule:

-Thursday: 8:00 pm

-Friday and Saturday: 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm

-Sunday: 8:00 pm

Vehicles will have to turn on the radio to hear the movie, and people who entered on foot will be listening with speakers from the area.

At the moment there's no clear information about the other movies that will be part of this project, but they might be Avengers or Captain America (didn't say which ones), and other classics, such as Saturday Night Fever.

General Manager of Méliès Autocinema specified that food from the outside will be forbidden, but that the prices in the candy area will be very accessible.
