Around 300 Cruise Arrivals Expected in Ensenada by End of Year

Ensenada remains the most visited port of the Pacific

Besides expecting around 300 cruise arrivals in the Port of Ensenada by the end of 2016, the Ministry of State Tourism (SECTURE) announced the return of Royal Caribbean after almost 9 years of its last visit to Baja California, an agreement made after a meeting with some of the most important cruise lines in the world.

By 2017 the port of Ensenada will welcome four large cruise ships: Carnival Cruise Lines, Disney Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean. These ships will carry thousands of people from the United States, Europe and Asia that might land in this beautiful state.

Even though there was an absence for years from part of Royal Caribbean, this line will have regular port landings (two per week). Disney already has 10 arrivals programmed in the May-June and September-October seasons.

According to the Minister of SECTURE, Oscar Escobedo Carignan, Ensenada remains the most visited port of the Easter Pacific, more than Vancouver and Los Angeles; nationally speaking it's ranked second, below Cozumel.
